Letter 259 – July 4th, 1776

The United States of America was not named in the Bible, but was described 2700 Years ago in Isaiah 18 1-3. This was the beginning prophesy about America, and from this beginning, our Country of Thirteen Colonies declared its Independence from England on July 4 1776. It was then in 1857 that Pastor F.E. Pitts delivered this message to the Congress of the United States in order to share God’s plan for America.

 

It has been 241 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I wonder how many remember the importance of this date? How many know that Our Country was formed on the Principles laid out by God? How many know what The Declaration of Independence says?

 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and pursuit of Happiness.”

 

Our Freedom comes with a price. This price is the blood spilled and the death of our brave men and women suffering while fighting for our County.

 

Wherever we are now, we need to retrench our thoughts back to July 4th 1776 and embrace the mind set of that time.

Letter 244 – Are You Willing to Give It A Try?

My Mother used to say to me, that if I didn’t have anything good to say about someone, don’t say anything at all. I say this so as to bring you up to speed regarding my thoughts about the future.

 

The United States of America, and the World, has just witnessed a change of Leadership in our Country… “That will influence mankind for Decades to Come.”

 

Some will approve and some will not approve of the man fairly elected to be President of the United States. Regardless of our feelings, we have to give the President and his Cabinet a chance to bring our Country and The World back to a semblance of order, as we used to have in the past.

 

So I say again, if you don’t have anything good to say about someone, don’t say anything at all. Be open minded and be positive. Give the elected a chance to do good for all. If after their time in office, they haven’t performed to your expectations, then you can replace them by your vote.
